THE DAWN OF A NEW ERA

2022 Transition Commission

Mayor-Elect khalid is establishing this Transition Commission to inform himself and the citizens of South Fulton of both the pitfalls and possibilities present during the City's first-ever mayoral transition. The Commission will research and recommend best practices for South Fulton's first and future transitions of power. In addition to developing transition protocols for elected officers and recommending transition-related charter changes, Mayor khalid is calling for a forensic audit of all city contracts and finances. Transition Commission will also begin that audit. The Commission will work through the first 100 days of Mayor khalid's administration and present its finding in a Final Report, scheduled to be published on the City of South Fulton’s 5th Anniversary, May 1.
