#SouthFulton2030 is a 12-year plan that envisions a walkable, downtown arts district along Old National, driven by municipal investment in locally grown businesses and politically "woke" young entrepreneurs. The roadmap to this future focuses on 3 areas of improvement:
Investing in Our Young People (Our Children Matter)
Investing in Local Business (Our Dollars Matter)
Investing in Political Education (Renaissance 101 & Electoral College)
#SouthFulton2030 will occur in 3 phases:
Phase 1: Research
Lead by Councilman khalid & Legislative Specialist Chris Mitial, community volunteers and college interns have already begun canvassing Old National neighborhoods to survey residents on their political awareness, and request their participation in community programs.

Phase 2: Reporting
In 2018 the 2030 Research Team will begin publishing their findings and conducting community presentations on cutting-edge initiatives and best practices in economic development.
Phase 3: Implementation
Councilman khalid & the #SouthFulton2030 Team will partner with developers and community organizations like the Old National Merchants Association (ONMA) to develop data-driven solutions that improve Old National for its current residents, while developing new businesses along the corridor.
