Phase 1: Research Lead by Councilman khalid & Legislative Specialist Chris Mitial, community volunteers and college interns have already begun canvassing Old National neighborhoods to survey residents on their political awareness, and request their participation in community programs. Phase 2: Reporting In 2018 the 2030 Research Team will begin publishing their findings and conducting community presentations on cutting-edge initiatives and best practices in economic development. Phase 3: Implementation Councilman khalid & the #SouthFulton2030 Team will partner with developers and community organizations like the Old National Merchants Association (ONMA) to develop data-driven solutions that improve Old National for its current residents, while developing new businesses along the corridor.
